New York's Brandy (Ex-Pampers, Running) are back with their sophomore LP and first on TOTAL PUNK. "The Gift of Repetition" is an eight track study in just that. Loud plodding and rhythmic. It will have you bobbing your head till it breaks off your neck. They all share vocal duties often chanting over each other and the lyrics are singular in vision. Bleak with a grin. Synth is added on a few tracks with mind-melting results. When the only other bands that come to mind are A-Frames, Lamps and Mayyors you are obviously doing something right. Pulsing, throbbing, and 100% TOTAL PUNK!!!
"It scratches all the punk itches from Devo-tinged post-punk to the scuzzy lo-fi of bands like LAMPS and the wiry humor of The Intelligence."- POST-TRASH
"The Gift of Repetition brings me to this hips forward, head-nodding space, like it’s 1AM and I’m in a bar watching a band and I don’t know if I’m a little drunk, a lot tired, or both. What it might lack in dynamism it makes up for with a uniquely lumbering tenacity. Recommended for fans of Spray Paint, the A-Frames, and Life Stinks."- SORRY STATE
"it's one of the best albums of the year. The "oh my god" of "(Wish You Was) Madball Baby" kills me from the start while "UFO's 2 Heaven" and the absolute hit that is "Clown Pain" finish me off. This album is indeed one of the best garage things of 2020."- Stillinrock
