Brandy - The Gift Of Repetition LP/ Total Punk New Stuff

Info

SECOND PRESSING!! New York's Brandy (Ex-Pampers, Running) are back with their sophomore LP and first on TOTAL PUNK. "The Gift of Repetition" is an eight track study in just that. Loud plodding and rhythmic. It will have you bobbing your head till it breaks off your neck. They all share vocal duties often chanting over each other and the lyrics are singular in vision. Bleak with a grin. Synth is added on a few tracks with mind-melting results. When the only other bands that come to mind are A-Frames, Lamps and Mayyors you are obviously doing something right. Pulsing, throbbing, and 100% TOTAL PUNK!!!
"Brandy’s second full-length, the brand-new The Gift of Repetition (Total Punk), is an economical, abrasive eight-song blast that piles new sounds on top of the the glorious scuzz of the members’ past bands: the bonehead punk of the Spits, the minimal stomp of Coachwhips, even the catchy vocal interplay of the B-52s. "- Chicago Reader
"“(Wish You Was) Madball Baby” is the song of 2020."- MRR YEAR END LIST
"Is this what happens when thirty-something punks get high on meme accounts instead of coke? Maybe that’s where the silliness kicks in, allowing a song that directly fantasizes about a Madball beatdown (“(Wish You Was) Madball Baby”) to bop around like a delirious child on TikTok."- YellowGreenRed
